About
The second edition of Woodstock Alumni Artists Residency, 1-15 September, 2024, will look to invite seven alumni artists and creative professionals to Woodstock School for a two week artists residency organized by Art for Change Foundation in collaboration with Centre for Imagination and hosted by Woodstock School. The residency has been entitled "Unfurling," to reflect both the monsoon environment that will shape our time during the residency in September, and the process of mentorship and collaboration between professional alumni artists and Woodstock student artists. The title also reflects the process of opening ourselves up to connection and self-reflection in the form of interfaith and intercultural dialogue, as we seek to build peace within our communities and our world.
The program will be marked by daily engagements, mentorship opportunities, and creative art-making between alumni artists and Grade 12 Visual Art students, and will also include a variety of additional programming for Woodstock students and Alumni residents.
The 2 week residency will end with a final exhibition at the Centre for Imagination, showcasing student and alumni art created during the residency and open to Woodstock and the Mussoorie community.
Please reach out with any further questions. We look forward to hearing from you!
